The Handylift Swinger in action |

1. Take it to the job. |

2. Dig the debris out of the keyhole (A Proteus keyhole gouger will make short work of this).
|

3. Insert the keys and wind the screwjacks. |

4. Swing cover away using wheel bogey & pivot. |

5. Swing back cover and unwind screwjacks. |

The super-small Handylift Swinger is a new concept in lifters. In its carry-bag it will fit in almost any car boot and as it weighs only 16 kg even the most ‘petite’ engineer can use it. Despite its small size it is no weakling – it develops 1 tonne of lift – and can tackle stuck covers with ease.
The Swinger is primarily designed for 600mm x 600mm clear opening sewer covers
Lifting manhole covers isn’t as easy as you’d expect, due in part to the vast array of different keyholes available on different types of cover. Proteus offers a full range of keys and accessories to interface with any type of cover, so if you need help deciding what lifting keys you need for your covers don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll be happy to help. Another even better option is to email us photos of your manhole covers so that we can see what keys you need to go along with your lifter.
