Manhole Cover Lifting - Handylift Wheeler

1. Take it to the job. |

2. Dig the debris out of the keyhole (A Proteus keyhole gouger will make short work of this).
|

3. Insert the keys and fit the telescopic handle. Don't overdo it! |

4. If the cover does not lift on the first try, don't worry. Just insert the screwjacks and turn. The cover will be easily freed. |

5. Now lift and wheel away. |

The Handylift Wheeler is a low-cost manually operated lifter which requires neither strength nor skill, yet it will lift stuck covers.
The Wheeler primarily designed for 600mm x 600mm clear opening sewer covers.
Lifting manhole covers isn’t as easy as you’d expect, due in part to the vast array of different keyholes available on different types of cover. Proteus offers a full range of keys and accessories to interface with any type of cover, so if you need help deciding what lifting keys you need for your covers don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll be happy to help. Another even better option is to email us photos of your manhole covers so that we can see what keys you need to go along with your lifter.
